MCS Approved Inverters? (No such thing!)

To comply with the governments new FIT (Feed In Tariff) scheme Solar PV installations have to be carried out by an MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) approved contractor and the Photovoltaic panels (Solar Panels) must be MCS approved, however the other parts of the installation DO NOT have to be MCS approved, this includes the Grid-Tie Inverter, Cabling, Solar PV Frame Work & Other electrical items deemed necessary. What they must be is G83 Certified.

So providing your grid-tied inverter is G83 certified then it will comply with the FIT rules.
